Twenty years ago I was one of the most recognised people on Australian television, yet most people don’t even know my real name.
In the 1990s I was ‘Blade’ on Gladiators a top rating iconic show in its day.
Why am I telling you this?
Am I trying to rehash some past glory, like one of those 80s stars than never got a gig when the big hair went out of fashion?
Well no, simply because there was no glory in it.
In fact there was injury, eating disorders, and constant stress on the body. Plus a gratuitous ‘bum cam’ (especially honed on the female Gladiators behinds) which added to the pressure of having the ‘perfect physique’.
Not surprisingly, during this time my body confidence was at an all time low and my understanding of true fitness was non-existent.
Fast forward 20 years and today I feel fitter, healthier, more joyful and more vibrant at 52 than I did at the pinnacle of my TV career.
But being a Gladiator and the many years of Gymnastics and Sport Aerobics that came before it was not the catalyst for my wellbeing today.
If I have learned one thing from a life of elite competitive sports it is that gruelling exercise is NOT the answer to good health or fitness.
And this is good news for anyone who struggles with exercising or has ever berated themselves because they couldn’t seem to boot-camp their way to bigger muscles.
I have now dedicated my life and work to letting other people know what the key is to returning to a true way of exercising the body without the blood sweat and tears and clients across the world are benefitting.
On Saturday November 11th 2017 at 9.30am I am offering a unique presentation and gentle body class to support anyone who would like to re-connect to a way of exercise that is not only not gruelling but is also deeply supportive, confidence building and revolutionary in the way you will treat your body and being.

Our bodies are constantly communicating to us.
Learning to read and release the tension in our body, rather than bury it with repetitious exercise is just one of the insights you will gain from this unique and sustainable approach to training.
Sign up for the webinar below and receive a free introduction to the ‘Your Body’ stretch and movement class online as well as a presentation in which I share the behind the scenes of my time on Gladiators plus how I found my way back to true health and fitness – a way of being with the body and exercise that anyone can achieve.
To be a true Gladiator is to know your strength from within and to bring that to all your movements and your exercise. Join me on the journey.
